The Random Thoughts Parading in my Head…

10/13/2011
So our little guy is officially walking and now has more than 5 teeth. His older sister was talking at 8 months but we've yet to hear any real, intelligible words...should I be concerned?

Happy Birthday to our dad!!! So glad he's back!

Leo Marshall's talk entitled "What Will You Do With Your Child's Moment In Time" was an intimate gathering and incredibly inspiring. Thank you so much, Leo!!!

I can imagine myself now, capable of being a full-time single parent, if I need to be...although I can't wait until I don't have to juggle it on my own for any longer...just a couple more days of the juggle

I can't believe it's been so long since I last shared a random thought, though there have been so many in my head--I am now the proud mother of a kindergarten student and a one year old who's walking!

We feel blessed to be here as a family to celebrate our little guy's first year! Happy Birthday to our son!

A year ago today, Sam and I were in a room at the maternity ward of Jordan Hospital, readying ourselves for the arrival of our second child. He arrived 2 weeks before his due date, a full moon baby like his sister, who was also an early baby--she was 4 weeks early. Man, we've grown so much since that night, a year ago. And in less than 5 hours, Henry will be 1!

No matter how much craziness they bring to our day...at evening time...when it's time to put them to bed and they snuggle close and look at you with that unconditional love in their eyes...truly...there's nothing better.

7/20/11
How is it that kids have all this energy and then suddenly, before you know it, they’re overtired???

7/13/11
Celia asks Sam and me at Dinner tonight: "So...if we had a boy babysitter, then would we call him a nanny or a nanno?"

7/13/11
I love those wonderful nights out with Sam that make me feel the way we did before we had to grow up and be responsible and serious!

7/8/11
Is it just me, or does every working mom feel lost and discouraged by the idea of what to make for dinner?

5/23/2011
After a long day...they're in bed...please sleep, munchkins! Sleep!

5/20/2011
I hate how much pain these little ones are in when teething! I just want for these teeth to come out and for my little guy to be done with this horrible process!

5/19/2011
Man, I wish this little one would sleep! Lots going on this week...juggling nanny searches, work, and all the little realities that come with being a working mom...SLEEP, Henry, SLEEP!

To the very last minute, as my dear friend Nikki Bean will remind me, smiling: I was resistant to the photo shoot from the very start! Nikki flew to Providence from Florida on July 26, 2010 drove right to my house with her daughter Sadie.
Nikki and Sadie drove out of my driveway around 3: 15pm that afternoon and I went into labor 30 minutes later. Henry arrived the next morning. These photos are an incredible gift and blessing. Many thanks to Nikki Bean at Bellies and Blessings in Sarasota, Florida.
